Move OWA to another Site

We currently run Exchange 2010 webmail and I wanted to know what steps I should take to point it to another site as a temporary measure.

If you want to move the webmail address to the other server then that is just a DNS update. The problem is that DNS changes can take time to be fully effective. You should check with your DNS provider if they can lower the TTL time and verify how long a DNS change takes to be effective on their servers.

Another site? What do you mean by site? Another location, another web site, another server?

I moved mailboxes to another geographic location.  The current location has web mail setup assuming the mailboxes are ta that site.

Does that help?

Not really.
If you are moving mailboxes and not the actual server then the users will just use the OWA address for the server in the second location.

If you want to retain the same address then you will have to make DNS changes.

Getting closer...
The other site uses the same webmail address.
We are going to have a network outage at the current site and wanted to move critical mailboxes to another location in our organization.

The question is what steps do we need to take to point the webmail address to the new site?
