Hi,
Is there a way to find something along a route with google maps (or another map program).  For example, I am taking a 2 hr drive. How can I find a driving range along that route.

I found a ton of posts by googling this, but no one seems to have an answer and they are all pretty old.  (so please don't just google find along route and send me the link)

jackjohnson44--I presume you want to get a Directions map from Google with info on getting from Point A to Point B.
Why don't you Google the "something" (Point C) and then route yourself from A to C to B.

If my answer shows I do not understand your question, please provide more details.
And I am not sure I understand what you mean by "driving range".  If you mean distance the Google Directions will give you that.  Oh, maybe you mean a golf course.  When you are on the website for the Google showing your trip, put  'Driving Range" in the Search box at the top.  That should superimpose the pinhead location of any driving range  close to the route from A to B.

Hi, thanks for your response.

i know how to find something near a specific location, but I want to know how to find something along a route.  For instance, if I was driving across country and wanted to at some point stop at a driving range that was close to the highway, how would I do that?

The cross country is a bit of a stretch, but on a 3 hour drive it makes more sense.  I have seen old question on the internet about this feature, but nothing recently.

jackjohnson44--I don't see how this answer does not meet your query "How can I find a driving range along that route"..
" When you are on the Google website showing your trip from A to B, put  'Driving Range" in the Search box at the top.  That should superimpose on the map the pinhead location of any driving range close to the route from A to B."

It works for me.
