The head says it all. I'm a new Mac Word 2011 user and trying to do the tasks I could easily accomplish when working in Word on a PC.

Thanks.

Tried that, Strung. Doesn't work--all that happens is that the highlighting jumps to the file name with a first letter that corresponds to the one I type first in my attempt to rename the doc.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Sorry, Strung--I misunderstood and now it DOES work. Thanks so much!
