What version of AD are you running?

Are you seeing any errors in your event logs?

WHen you setup FIM did you follow the base steps outline in the following article: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/651.how-do-i-provision-users-to-active-directory-domain-services.aspx

2003 Functional Level...2008r2 dcs...I did see that article however one thing I am seeing going INTO Fim is that there is a "NO NAME" account with no info after I create the account in AD post execution of the syncs/imports/exports...

I have seen so many MS and other article concerning the mappings in sync...some had FIM do it, others had Sync do it...

Have you reviewed the TechNet article on installing FIM 2012R2, you already setup to appropiate service account to run the FIM services correct?

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh332710(v=ws.10).aspx

I would also suggestion you check out YouTube, they have a number of great FIM 2012 setup video online.
