so I am playing with FIM and trying to build a case for it at work, ie password reset, standarized account provission, I could go one for hours...one thing I CANT get past is the critical sync service...its not creating the accounts in AD (dispite delegation) and also when it syncs to fim, I got a blank account...been trying to follow MS implimentation stuff but sorta lost...

What version of AD are you running?

Are you seeing any errors in your event logs?

WHen you setup FIM did you follow the base steps outline in the following article: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/651.how-do-i-provision-users-to-active-directory-domain-services.aspx

2003 Functional Level...2008r2 dcs...I did see that article however one thing I am seeing going INTO Fim is that there is a "NO NAME" account with no info after I create the account in AD post execution of the syncs/imports/exports...

I have seen so many MS and other article concerning the mappings in sync...some had FIM do it, others had Sync do it...
