Looks like this notification is a predictive failure notice of the RAID controller battery.  I can replace the battery no problem, but the amber light warning on front of server won't clear.  Where do I go to clear this error?  Can this be done through the Dell Open Manager Server Admin console?  If so, where?  Or is there another way to clear the logs?  I want to clear all my logs actually.

Yes, you can clear the logs in OpenManage Server Administrator:  click on System, Logs tab, Clear.

Don't have OMSA on the server but have it downloaded.  Can you tell me if OMSA can be loaded on a Windows 7 machine and then used to connect to various servers?  Or does it have to be loaded on the server itself?  I'm guessing the server itself.  That's where I've always used OMSA, never in a remote setup, but again, not sure it can even be done.

OMSA is an agent that must be installed on each machine in order to manage them from a central location (OpenManage Essentials or Management Station) or remotely (accessing OMSA server through browser - remoteservernameorip:1311), so, yes, it must be installed on the machine in question before you can use any of its functions.

If you have a DRAC installed and configured, you can clear it from there.

Just install OMSA on the server, then clear the logs.

Solid answer.  Thanks for the help.  Will install OMSA on server and clear logs from there.
