I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Th easiest way to import the user profiles is using ProfWiz.

Richcopy or Robocopy would probably be best.  If you've not used them before test it first and check the syntax is correct, especially is you use the /MIR switch with robocopy. I've seen techies get that wrong in the past and lose data!

You can use File Server Migration Tools, but I'm not sure if you can specify to exclude NTFS permissions.
