PCI Compliant Shared Hosting

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a host that provides PCI compliant shared hosting plans on Apache servers. I have found less than a handful by searching the web, but I'm hesitant to sign with any of them without a recommendation of some sort. I have a live, active e-commerce site that needs a new host very soon.

Thanks!

Why shared hosting?

But if that's what you want, go to the home page of PHP.net and look in the "Thanks To" section (currently in the left sidebar).  These are reputable companies, and all very supportive of the PHP community.  Any of them that claim PCI compliance can undoubtedly be trusted.

Thank you, Ray.

I was looking at shared hosting for the lower cost. However, I've discovered that the cost of fully managed VPS hosting is much lower than I realized. I'm currently on one of Rochen's shared hosting plans, and their managed VPS hosting starts at $150, which is not doable. (Plus, their support is arrogant and often confoundingly difficult to deal with.) But I see that many other hosts have fully managed VPS for under $50/month, which is within my ballpark.

Since having a VPS is affordable and will certainly enable PCI compliance, I think I'll be looking into those now.

Thanks for your answer!

Regards,
Jon
