Exchange Retention Policy on OU

Hi, We have 2 User OU's in AD. We would like to setup different retention policies for each OU. We have one exchange DB. Is this possible to do?

It is possible to do this manually but not automatically. What I mean by that is you could run a Cmdlet along the lines of:

get-mailbox | where-object -FilterScript {$_.organizationalunit -match "company.local/MyBusiness/Users"} | set-retentionpolicy <your chosen retention policy here>

This would configure the retention policy for all the users in that organization at that time. However, if a new user is added to the organizational unit, they would not automatically get that policy so it would need to be manually added. This can be done by adding the policy as soon as the new mailboxes created or by running the cmdlet mentioned above on a regular basis, either manually or via a scheduled task.
