I have a mac mini and I use preview to look at pdf files.  WHen I open a large pdf I can choose save as and then save the file at a much smaller size.  I went from 30MB to 8MB on one file I remember.  Is there a windows program that is free that can do this?

Both of the targeted compressors noted above will work fine;   as will the more general (and also free) 7-Zip [http://www.7-zip.org/ ]
