Software to Record a Specific Video on Webpage and Only that video while doing other work

I currently use Snagit and Screenflow to record video with sound on a webpage. These applications record ANY activity on your screen. Thus, you can't do anything else on your machine without it being recorded also. Does anyone know of an application that will record a specific video on a webpage and ONLY that video thus allowing you to do other work without it being recorded by the application? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello Luke,

Thank you for your reply and I apologize for the delay in responding. I downloaded and installed CamStudio on my Windows 7 system but still got the same results i.e. the software will record ALL of the activity on your screen. I don't think I was very clear on what I was looking for so let me try again to explain. Say I am on a news webpage and want to record a video about a strike. I start recording the strike video. At this point, if I want to go do some other work i.e. bring up my Quicken application, work on an Excel spreadsheet or go to a ESPN website while the strike video is recording, it will record these other activities when I leave the news webpage. Thus, it's recording whatever is happening on the computer display vs. a specific activity on a webpage. I don't believe there is any software that allows you to record a specific item on your computer AND only that item no matter what other activities are happening on your display but thought I would ask anyway. Again, thank you for your reply.
Hi Frbonap, try jdownloader, what this software does is to parse the webpage and it is able to download different file types, videos, pictures etc. Then probably you will need a FLA viewer.

Hi Luke, jdownloader seems to be a download manager. Am I missing something?

Hi Luke, I think I see how this is suppose to work. I would use JDOWNLOADER to download the video and while that is running, I could be doing a number of other tasks on my machine?? So, I downloaded JDOWNLOADER and started it. I then went to a webpage with videos I want to download. I copied the URL. I went back to JDOWNLOADER. Under the LINKGRABBER tab, I clicked Add URL. The URL I copied is in the dialog box. I clicked Parse URL. After JDOWNLOADER is done parsing. I click Continue All. I  select the Download tab and see many resources but see no videos. I did this with various webpages but never see any videos. This looks like a great product but it isn't real user friendly. Do you have any ideas on why it isn't selecting any videos?

Even though the videos I originally want to download can't be downloaded (the site has not made them available publicly), this product will download videos - assuming they are publicly available - while you are performing other tasks. This is a very powerful tool which I will use for a long time. Thank you for the recommendation Luke.

BTW, you can disregard my 7-24-13 comment. It is NOT the software's fault.
