Sporadic emails missing subject and body text

We have a user on Outlook 2010 that periodically when they send out an email the subject line and body text are gone. The message looks fine until they click send. They are setup as rich text for their default formatting of emails. If they attempt to forward the blank messages they still send out blank and are blank in the sent items area as well. We are using McAfee for AV. We have not tried running Outlook in safe mode nor switching to a new profile.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!

This is a common knonw issue in outlook and is specifically related to AV integration in Outlook

IF you disbale the AV integration to the email client you should see the issue go away

You can try running outlook in safe mode
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /safe

However, sometimes this doesnt always disable the entire AV integration
You may need to disable the AV on the machine entirely

Then test

If it is determined that the AV is the issue
We can look at modifyiing the load behavior of its addin in the registry

We took your suggestion and went into the add-ins for Outlook and turned off the McAfee virus scanning since our emails get scanned before they even arrive in the users inbox and that seems to have fixed the issue.

Thank you.
