Same page links (invisible)

Hello everybody,

As you may noticed I try to improve our companies website. While our plug-in which seems to be our main problem will be reevaluated I look for different ways to improve the website. Also we will focus on a specific niche and currently look for good articles/writers to publish.

Anyway a colleague suggested to insert into every page an invisible crosslink-table to each other page on the page to improve our rating. While I agree that this would boost the link-density on our website the whole thing seems somewhat shady and I don't think google really appreciate this kind of thing.

What are your opinions? Is it worth a try or should we definitely stay away from such practices?

Cheers goldwynexe

Google will punish you if they find invisible text and links on your pages.  http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66353

Thank you for the link! Now I can prove my hunch about "shady technique" :-)
