lvresize cause my mysql / application stopped and some data loss

Hi All,

I have resized one partiton used by mysql and application by 5G but suddenly some dataloss and application stopeed working - dont know why and what could be the issue for this please explain?

First, do you have a backup of the data?  How large is the partition?  What's the hardware, ie VM or physical?

I took the backup already and restored now so problem resolved thanks

it happens whenever PE size got different while creating and while re-sizing.
