I have an Iphone 4s that I want to sell.

Bought from Sprint and used with Sprint.

Is there anything (easily and legally) I can do to make the phone available for any carrier?

Take a look at this.  Should work for most carreirs.

The process is called "unlocking".

There are also lots of videos on YouTube on doing this.  Just search on "iPhone 4s unlock".
