hello,

how do you make pages in your wordpress site  invisible to the public so when the pages loads only the pages that are not private will load all other pages will not load and therefore are not viewable.

I edited every page in my wordpress site and set them to private.
when i log out and click on selected page that we set to private is it normal for the page to read news not found?

is there another way to make pages not viewable other then setting them to private?

When you set pages to private or password-protected, they are still "there" and any attempts to access them directly will produce some form of message.  The private pages should produce a 404 style "item not found" error and password protected pages should produce a password challenge screen.

To truly make things invisible to logged out users you need to alter your navigation so links to the protected pages are not visible unless the user is logged in.

Make that page the default page for the site? (Settings | Reading)

Use a plugin like Members to lock down all pages except one?

Use a plugin like Ultimate Coming Soon or  to have only one page visible to all logged out users but logged in users see the normal site.
