Cisco AnyConnect VPN Won't Connect After Virus

Hi Everyone,

I have a user who had a laptop with a virus. The virus not allowing him to open any applications, and was a rogue antivirus application which prompted the user to enter a key to unlock. Anyway I was able to remove the virus although I'm wondering if we still have some sort of registry issue becasue he cannot install Cisco's AnyConnect VPN client. I've confirmed the MSI package works on other identical machines.

I have attached a screenshot. Hoping there's a way to resolve this. Thanks!

See if the below helps

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps8411/products_qanda_item09186a00809aec31.shtml#errmsgs

http://www.maas360.com/maasters/forums/laptop-management/show/59/problem-with-windows-installer-package-error-during-cisco-s-anyconnect-installation

. In this case, as revealed in the MSI log, the Virtual Adapter installer has failed. Therefore, you need to check whether this registry key is present or not: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce.

In addition, you can try one of these actions in order to resolve the issue:

Execute this command in order to perform a quiet installation of AnyConnect:

msiexec /quiet /norestart /i anyconnect.msi

Scan your registry for AnyConnect related bogus keys and remove them.
