Hi experts,

Need some help on email forwarding in Exchange.

Is it possible to forward external email (ONLY) to another user?

I don't want to know "how to forward email to external email address"  as I already do. I want to know if it is possible in Exchange 2010 to only forward external emails to a dedicated user. I.e. only emails from outside the organisation are being forwarded, all internal emails will not.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi

If you mean an incoming email with domain.com (not yourdomain.com) to an executive should also go to a secretary's inbox, then yes you can do this through transport rules on the Exchange 2010 server.
Follow this link to have more info : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995961(v=exchg.141).aspx

Thanks

That looks a bit complicated. What I am after is that to forward user A EXTERNAL email to user B in his absent. INTERNAL email should not be forwarded.

Just like the tick-box in Exchange to forward emails but that option forward ALL emails.

No,

This is not complicated, since Transport server is responsible to dispache emails, is only there you can set such rules. unless you make a rule the specific user mailboxs through Outlook or through powershell.

Thanks

What anti-virus / anti-spam software are you using?

I am sure you can do this with several of them.
