I have been testing my new XA65 test farm with a trial license downloaded from Citrix. We currently have a XA5 farm in production. All of the XenApp licenses are running from the license server in the XA5 farm.
I logged onto Citrix.com and reallocated the XenApp (Enterprise) licenses to the new XA65 license server. I then cleared out the Trial license and imported the new license.
Problem is that now my license server isn't issuing licenses when sessions start. Every session is prompted with a message that it cannot contact the license server. I think that it can contact the license server fine, but the issue is the licenses may be wrong.
Before I reallocate my licenses from Citrix.com, do I need to first upgrade the licenses? There is a section for upgrading, but it does not explain it's purpose very well. I am unsure if it is for upgrading from previous XA versions to 6.5 or if it is to upgrade between XA & XD. I have a current subscription, so I am eligible to use XA65.
I have tried to contact Citrix technical support, however i am out of their office hours and unable to contact.
