Synchronization with your iPad failed for 1 items.

Exchange server version: 2010 Ent.
Exchange service pack level: Service Pack 1
Exchange rollup update level: Rollup 5 (KB2582113)

Mobile device model and OS version:
1. Apple iPhone 4s/5 - iOS 6.1.2
2. iPad 2 - iOS 6.1.4
3. Microsoft Windows Surface Pro

Users started receiving the following message in Outlook regarding appointments.

Message:
Subject: Synchronization with your iPad failed for 1 items.
 
Synchronization with your iPad failed for 1 items.
The following items couldn't be sent to your mobile phone. They haven't been deleted. You should be able to access them using either Outlook or Outlook Web App.
