BB Missed mail

Enviroment : BES 5.0.2 SBS 2011 - BB 9780
This user was using the BB device above no problem. He swapped his sim for a few days to a S4 device to see if he liked it this was configured for active sync.  After a few days he moved back to the 9780. New mail is being received on the BB device no problems via BES but mail between the time of using the BB to S4 which was a few days worth is missing from the BB.  How do I get this mail missed mail to sync to the BB ?
It's only a few days worth is missing so no real issues however is there a way to reconsile eg: get it in full sync with his exchange mailbox ?

I have used this process a number of times to correct syncing problems:

Confirm wireless synchronization has been reset

 1. Go to Options
 2. Select Advanced Options
 3. Select Enterprise Activation
 4. In the email field hold ALT and type CNFG
 5. When the hidden menu appears change Wireless Sync to NO
 6. Exit and Save
 7. Wait 30 seconds and repeat step 4 (ALT + CNFG)
 8. Change Wireless Sync back to Yes
 9. Exit and Save
After approximately 30 seconds you will see an activation status appear

Sorry user has since moved to a Q10 via AS, so this BB and BES is no longer in use.
This happened before I had a chance to try the above.

I assume this would have worked but could not confirm, as per my post.
