NEXUS PORT CHANNEL CONFIG

Would this be an appropriate configuration for a port channel on a Nexus 5548.   Is the Spanning Tree info required??

interface port-channel215
  switchport mode trunk
  switchport trunk allowed vlan 501-503,601-602
  spanning-tree port type edge
  spanning-tree bpduguard enable
  vpc 215

Could be.  If this is going to a server, yes. But if it's connecting to another switch, the spanning-tree port type edge, could be a problem.

ASKER

Yes...should have mentioned that.  I was curious as to why you have to be so detailed with the Port channel config when infact all this info is also on the physical port
