According to the article the only thing that need to be performed is to uninstall and install the driver.
As i checked the defined drive I am seeing that there is a serial number defined, which most probably it will be different for the new drive. Most probably it also need to be redefined or changed somehow.

Hi,
you should just need to update the library and its paths with the parameter
autodetect=yes and as well the library serial number

for example:

upd PATH SRVTSM LIB3573 SRCTYPE=SERVER autod=yes DESTTYPE=LIBRARY DEVICE=\\.\changer0 ONLINE=YES

upd PATH SRVTSM DRV0 SRCTYPE=SERVER autod=yes DESTTYPE=drive library=LIB3573 DEVICE=\\.\tape0 ONLINE=YES

upd PATH SRVTSM DRV1 SRCTYPE=SERVER autod=yes DESTTYPE=drive library=LIB3573 DEVICE=\\.\tape1 ONLINE=YES

upd library LIB3573 serial=autod online=yes

hope this helps
