Opening attachments in Outlook 2010 responds super slow.

We are using outlook 2010 and in the last week we have expirience this strange behavior.
It takes to long opening any attachments in outlook 2010.

steps taken:

1.Turn off plug-in
2.delete the  outlook updates
3.Turning off the virus scanner  .On access scan

Can somebody help me with this issue, maybe they other steps we
can take to fix this problem.

Sorry for the late response. We tried the solutions but non of those did the job. Attatchments in outlook still take like 30 seconds to open.

we tried the following:

- Set outlook in online mode
- New outlook profile
- Disabled add-in's
