Voice mail on Mac with Outlook and iTunes

I have a customer that gets his voice mails as .wav files attched to his email.  The email client is Outlook.

When he opens his voicemail, it is read back to him in iTunes.   The problem is that iTunes insists on saving his voicemails to its library.  This appears to be inconvenient if he wants to also use the iTunes player for music.  Is there a way to automatically delete the saved .wav file after he has listened to it?
