Just a query on bootstrap if anyone might have used this tool for responsive site. when a div has a class set as "row" or "row-fluid"

and when they ask to use % for width stylings..and not px or rather preference of em is higher than px, why is that..

Because the fluid design is associated with the screen size. Here see an example I have a screen size of 400 and the 100% is 400px. Now if you are using the same size in 1000px width screen than the size 100% is 1000px that's the reason.

fair enough,
Never mind the first query I was having..the .row and .row-fluid are classes included in bootstrap.css

they specify margin and 100% width..
