DAG over WAN best connection type?

exchange 2010 DAG setup with two members.  Wondering which DAG works over best?

MetroE  or MPLS

Wich works best in what order?

Hardware VPN self Setup from site to site

Caveats/best practice/recommendations?

If your sites are far apart.. like coast to coast then MPLS might be a better option provided your going with a larger, national carrier.  they can add your other sites to the network without traversing another carrier.

If not geographically disperse then MetroE would be best.  Depending on the price the speeds are comparable.  Neither requires VPN to my knowledge.

You obviously want as low of latency as you can get to it'd be best to talk to each provider and explain the purpose of the link.  Find out what they can guarantee

what about ENS and/or EPS offered by provider which works off their MPLS?

With those two options I'd jump on the epl.
