We are using exchange 2007 & recently we installed a separate exchange 2013 in our environment. When we move the mailbox from 2007 to 2013, we have the following issue
I) The user keep prompted for username/password
ii) Require to re-create the outlook profile
iii) Randomly outlook profile crashes & requires to re-create the profile

In Exchange 2013 env, we have Mailbox server ( which has CAS role) and a separate CAS server. Can we have CAS role installed on mailbox server as well as a separate server?

Thx

This happens when there is a corruption in a mailbox...so after move OST is unable sync and user gets the prompt and last option is to recreate the profile again...Also you can install both role on same server or on different server.....however mailbox role need to be installed first as per MS...CAS role is now very limited and doesn't generate much load compared to 2010.
