Calendar Sharing in SharePoint

We need to publish one of our executive's calendars that is an internal corporate calendar to an outside vendor.  Is SharePoint a viable solution, and if so what is the best option/practice to do this via SharePoint?  Thanks.

While SharePoint is a possible solution, I use a Google Calendar with Outlook Sync to accomplish the same task.   It allows me to publish either free-busy or full info (private appts excepted) to the world.  It's nice, because it allows me to present an iframed version of the calendar how I want it displayed.

I use gSyncIt (http://www.fieldstonsoftware.com/software/gsyncit3/) to push my appointments to Google.

Works like a charm, provided I have Outlook running on my desktop to accept the appointments and push them to the web.  If you need this automated WITHOUT the executive being at their desk (or their secretary with proxy rights to the exec's calendar to run gSyncIt on their behalf), then we need to dig further.

A whole SharePoint install for just this would be difficult and expensive.

It might be easier to share his Exchange calendar to Anonymous users, then provide the Outlook Web Access URL direct to his calendar to desired users.   I've not tried that, but it 'should' work.
