Hi, all:

I have a HP Procurve switch 5406ZL. I can use SSH to log onto this device without problem. But when I tried to open that IP on the browser, it asks me for the username and password. When I input the same admin's username and password worked in Putty SSh session, it doesn't accept it on Web.

is there a way for me to reset the GUI password through the command line interface? Or what is the default username/password for this model.

thank you.

To Recover from a Lost Manager Password:
If you cannot start a console session at the manager level because of a lost Manager password, you can clear all passwords and user names by getting physical access to the
switch and pressing and holding the Clear button for a full second.

I have the manager password and I can use that password to enter CLI console. Also, I can run "setup" command to enter the configuration. I don't why it doesn't take my manager's password from the browser.

I can enter into the setup screen and I can reset the password for the manager's password.
