GoogleCalendarSync error code 1008

I installed Google calendar sync to sync outlook 2010 (version 14.0.0.6131) with my gmail agenda.

It installed fine but when I ask to sync I get imidiately:  Could not initialize Google Calendar Sync add-in for Micosoft OutlookTM: Code 1008

Please advice, I do not have administration rights on the LAPTOP

Kind regards
Eric

Hi zwiekhorst
Google gmail and outlook do not play nicely together. Google no longer supports sync of outlook, unless you have exchange server rights. You may need to install a third party tool like 4Team's Sync2

Also see below (http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2716936) :

Starting January 30, 2013, users, other than paid Google Apps users, won't be able to set up new devices using Google Sync. iPhone and iPad users should see Sync Gmail, Calendar and Contacts. Other users should see our sync site for instructions. You can also consult with your device carrier or manufacturer for how they recommend to sync with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Contacts. Google Apps for Business, Education, and Government customers can continue to set up new devices with Google Sync after this date.

Additionally, three other legacy syncing services are also reaching their end of life, and will no longer be supported by Google for any users: Google Calendar Sync, Google Sync for Nokia S60, and SyncML. See below for more details.
