PostgreSQL transaction log

In PostgreSQL, can we create table space for transaction log usage ? for example in sybase we  have space for data and log, how about postgreSQL ? one thing I notice, using pgadmin I can only assign one tablespace for db, can PostgreSQL have multiple tablespace ?

you can have multiple tablespaces.
see CREATE TABLESPACE and CREATE TABLE .... TABLESPACE ...
in SQL Reference in PostgreSQL documentation.

the transaction log does not need a separate tablespace.
