Hi,

We have a user with Outlook 2010 and we have this issue in that she cannot search in her bosses contacts (which are shared to her and she can see them) from her laptop.

In the office where she is using Outlook 2007, this works fine, however we cannot get it to work on her laptop.

Also we should add that the back end is an Exchange 2003 server (on an Windows server 2003 box) but we don't see why this would be an issue?

1) Firstly can we establish, should the user be able to search shared contacts in this way?
2) if so what reason could there be to prevent it.

We greatly welcome any input on this matter.

Thanks in advance.

That fixed it. Just like this person in the post it was set to "Search all folders" which you would think would help but actually does not.
This is a problem which has dogged us for months and finally we know why.

Many thanks.
