SEO and Domain name question

Hi
I have a question about using multiple domain name for the same website

I have a website with a domain name "domainname1.dk"

My coleuge has then bought 2 other domain names with some "keywords" in the domain name title and he suggest that we should use this domain name and forward to "domainname1.dk"
It means the content is the same. It will not change.
So the only benefit of the new domain name is that it has some of our main keywords in the domain name.

Question:
From a SEO point of view. Do I gain anything by actvate the 2 new domain name and just forward it to the existing "domainname1.dk" or will Google punish me for this as content on 2 domain name will be "duplicate"

Any throughts on this?

Thanks for any reply

Only reason for a redirect is if you were moving to another domain, i.e. anything other than a 301 permanent redirect will result in being punished by the search engines for duplicate content.
So pick one and stick with it.
The only exception would be region specific sites where you may redirect your home page (or other pages) to say a French version of the site, but then this only applies with regional searches and the main page would not be listed - just the regional version.
