It then hangs up and doesn't go any  further. It works in firefox.

What can be done for this problem?

Which version of Exchange is this? You should need compatability mode for Internet Explorer 10 unless this is Exchange 2003.

Simon.
The references to /exchweb/ and the WebDAV URIs make me think this is Exchange 2003. Have a look at the browser supportability matrix here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623.aspx
which should explain why you have problems in IE10, but not in FF.

Outlook web actually fully worked on this computer with this version of Internet Explorer until it got a virus. After the virus was cleaned up, this problem appeared.
Viruses can (usually they do) damage your system. I would remove IE10 and reinstall it.

I went to compatibility mode and it now works.
OK. You shouldn't have any further issues with OWA.
