Mailbox Size Warning Notification -Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010

Assuming you have mailbox quotas set, Exchange should send a warning at 80%, and another at 100%. These are sent sometime early in the morning.

I need like notification email from the exchange server to mailbox users ( outlook) if the user reached to warning to 80%.

In my current, they rececving the notification email after they are prohibited to send/recieve the mail

Your mailbox can no longer send or receive messages. Please reduce your mailbox size. Delete any items you don't need from your mailbox and empty your Deleted Items folder.

Its simply setting Quota at per mailbox if you want different limits, in case you want similar limts for all users on a Database then surely the best way would be to set on the Mailbox Database itself

This is cause they you havent set Warning or all 3 limits on that User or the MailboxDatabase itself so please check that

I have following quota sets for the users


Issue Warning                  480
Prohibit Send                   495
Prohibit Send/Receive     500

My requirements that exchange should an email to outlook user when there mailbox size reached to 480 or 481 for outlook web users it will appear on the left pane of the windows with warning when they reach to 480 but what about the outlook users ??

look there is a schedule for the Quota message to be sent to users check when is the Schedule if that everyday morning then if the limit of Warning is reached in Evening and similarly if Send\receive is reached by Night at schedule he will only get the higher warning :)
