Outlook 2013 hyperlinks slow to open

Windows 7 Pro 32bit
Outlook 2013
Firefox 21.0
IE 9.0.8

When clicking on a hyperlink in an email it takes about 60 seconds for it to open. I have done the following to try and resolve without any success.
1)Removed all outlook add-ins
2)Disabled virus protection (AVG)
3) Changed default browser from Firefox to IE

Any other ideas I can try to resolve this issue. Very frustrating!

In Outlook 2013 Options go to Trust Center Settings and look at Automatic Download. I uncheck (deselect) that setting.  I am not sure if this will affect the speed of hyperlinks but you could try it.

Make sure Outlook is the Default Mail handler and make sure also that IE is the default browser.

Try this on one machine, restart it and check. Please let us know.
