Folder Permissions Issue

Hello,

I have an application that views the exchange pickup folder in transport roles on our server.  I was messing with permissions and accidentally removed the administrator account from having control on the transport roles folder in exchange.

I was able to get the root folders back under admin control with "takeown /a /f" but I still cant get it to propagate down.  I get access is denied.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks

What happens if you right click the folder - properties - security - edit - add - administrator or administrators - check names - ok.
Does that not add administrators to the list?

Nope, I get an access is denied error. Unless I rum that command but it will not propagate.

Thanks, I get that but it wont propagate down to the files and folders under the root.  That is why I get the access denied error.

What about a takeown /a /r /f *?
You could also give subinacl a shot.. I usually have good luck with that.
