Killing a Process

I have a server which I can't reboot at this time.  A number of BE 2012 jobs crashed on it, so I was attempting to cancel them, and when that failed, to restart the services.

One of (7 of) the services is not restarting.

Backup Exec Remote Agent for windows, is not restarting...it is hung on Stopping.

When I go to the task manager and End Process or End Process Tree it doesn't do anything.

I then tried using Process Explorer to Kill it, that failed, I tried Suspending then killing it, that failed.  Any ideas?

After doing some additional research there is a similar issue that arrises shortly after an update to Symantec, where you then need to update the agents as well but haven't yet.  Which could be the case for me, since I updated Symantec last week but have not yet updated the agents.
