Scheduling the Recycling of HTTP.sys (or SSRS AppPool)  in SSRS 2012

Hi all -

We recently discovered that our SSRS AppPool is recycling at an inopportune time on the default 12 hour schedule.  I would like to change time it recycles itself.  Obviously, because it is controlled through HTTP.sys rather than full blown IIS I can not use the GUI, or so it would appear, to make the change.  There's probably an APPCMD utility to do it but I am having difficulty tracking it down.

What we would like is to have it recycle itself once a day at 3am.

Any help much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Wren

Hi wrenmott,

There is RecycleTime parameter in the config file:

Got it!  However, now that I can set the interval I need to know how to tell it at what time to start.  Currently it runs at 8am and 8pm.  We just want it to run once (configurable through RecycleTime) at 3am but I don;t see where to give it an actual time, do you?

Cheers!

Recycle time is calculated from the service restart. So if you want to recycle pool at the specific time, you have to restart the service itself.
