I am trying to backup our SQL 2000 server that runs on Windows 2003 - Basically we were using Backup exec system recovery but it seems to have died a death and I need a quick backup via NTBACKUP but the shadow copy is failing with Volume Shadow copy failed with error on WIN2003K with SQL 2k :0x80042306.

any ideas?

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Hmm ok this may help however the article reads...

"To resolve this problem, configure the startup account of the SQL Server service to use the LocalSystem account. Alternatively, use a startup account that has the full name of the domain account instead of a period (.) to start the service. For example, use the startup account DomainName\UserName to start the service."

Where and how do I configure the SQL Server Service? I can't see it listed in Services?
