Excel 2010-Replace and Substitute Multiple Text Entries in CSV File

Hi Experts,
I need to do 2 things
a) replace existing text entries in a spreadsheet with some new text, how can i do this in one action or formula please?
b) just delete some text from existing item entries within the spreadsheet

a) Delivery for the bricklayer
All I want to do here is replace the word "delivery" with "cartage" everywhere throughout the spreadsheet

b) For example here is an existing text entry;
Floor - smart joists - Timber[LF][LF][LF][LF]
*all i want to do here is just delete the text [LF] but there are 4 in here, in other entries
there may only be 2 and others just 1 so how can i get rid of this?

My approach was to first use the filter on the spreadsheet so it only shows the text im looking for but now i need some formula or help as to how i can make changes a) and b)?

Hi,

Do you want a Visual Basic for Applications-coded approach, or are you happy with manual steps to reach your goal?

Manual steps:

a)...

Use the [CTRL]+[H] key combination (or the "Edit" menu followed by the "Replace..." menu item).

Click the [Options >>>] button.

Set "Within:" to read "Workbook".
Set "Find what:" to delivery.
Set "Replace with:" to cartage.

Click the [Replace all] button.

b)...

Use the [CTRL]+[H] key combination (or the "Edit" menu followed by the "Replace..." menu item).

Click the [Options >>>] button.

Set "Within:" to read "Workbook".
Clear the "Find what:" field.  Hold down the [ALT] key & then enter [0][0][1][0] on the numeric keypad.  You will not see anything on the screen.
Leave "Replace with:" blank (or clear the existing value from the last replacement).

Click the [Replace all] button.
