Hello All,

Quick question...

Is there a way to keep an active VPN connection when switching users in WIN7?

## Setup ##

OS: WIN7 Pro
VPN : VPN created through "connect to a network"

I had just re-image my work laptop.  What I am trying to achieve here is to be able to create a cache profile on my laptop while at home rather than having to drive into the Office on my day off.   I have already joined it to the domain (pending reboot), I will then have to login as local admin, and reconnect to the VPN, but if I can keep the VPN connection active between switching accounts, then I can theoratically sign in and create a cache profile on the laptop...

issue : when i switch user, it disconnects me from the VPN, and I think from the wireless as well?

Suggestions?

If you create a VPN connection and choose the option "Allow other people to use this connection" then it won't disconnect when you switch users.  I don't know of any way to change the type after it's been created (not saying it's not possible, just that I've never looked into it).
