Files and attachments open slow

Dear Experts,

I have a huge performance problem on my network. Last year we implemented all new servers, switches, cables, Client PC's. Anything. But since a couple of weeks people are crying that their attachments open slowly from outlook 2010 (exchange 2010). But also people say that opening files from a share takes a long time.

I have a suspicion that the problem occures in the office suite, that maybe some register key want to safe thing to the local C drive (witch is forbidden access to by policy).

Can anybody help me?

maybe way to check if really GPO causes this is to check computer this GPO is not linked to (or new installed PC not in the domain) if it has the same problems with opening files from share, for instance.
If such a machine has also the same sympthoms then probably network is affected? For this probably best way would be to use some network tool such as Wireshark or similar
i had seen such issue and i think configuration needs to be done on the switches. You can ask your network admin to run a trace using wireshark...will get a solution on how to fix this issue.

Some setting in switch needs to configured.According to me the problem does not lie on server or client pc.
