How the documents attached in the lists are managed? Is there any way to store all the files attached in the lists to a document library?

Hi,
list attachments are not handled like items in a document library, therefore they do not contain meta data / columns (they are column content like any other field in a list).
For this you would need to use an Event Receiver on the list.

For doing a one time copy the best option would be to run a Powershell script:

[assuming you are on SharePoint 2010 but should work pretty the same for 2007 and 2013]

Thanks for the answer.

How to set filename in the document library with few more attributes?
For example from the list item attachment the file name is Doc1.docx (while copying list item attachments from list to document library), and in the document library if we want to store that file as filename=filename+UserName+Timestamp so the Doc1.docx should be like Doc1User1Jan320100001.docx.
