Does the certificate contain the name of this server (server08.fh.local)?

Are the Users Outlook clients configured to use a different Hostname?

Was this an upgrade from Exchange 2000/2003 to Exchange 2007?

The certificate needs to be applied to some Services as well. Here is a link to a couple webpages that may help.
Try this first: http://www.shudnow.net/2007/08/10/outlook-2007-certificate-error/

Then maybe this: http://forums.msexchange.org/m_1800468295/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#1800468447

I am interested to know how you make out but it does appear as if the Exchange Server name is not included in the certificate, which can happen if you are using a local CA authority and do not have the Exchange services using the proper certificate.
