I need to create a registration form.

I need to scan documents that link to each student.  How is it possible to upload an image or document into our database?

Is there another economical solution that will do this for us?

The environment on this question has to do with uploading the file to our server over the internet.  I typed too quickly leaving that important detail out.  Sorry.
