What an annoyance .....

So, why do I need to SHUTDOWN a server when I am remotely an can’t  put my finger in the power button to get it back on?

What is the sense for that and why can't t be install updates and re-stat, which implies a shutdown?

Any ideas ..... Need to install a security software remotely but it is telling the machine is awaiting for a restart. Did a restart and the situation remains the same so I am guessing is because of the "install updates and shutdown" message.

a restart should clear the flag..

The restart did not ....

The manually install did the trick. Thanks.
