HP 4200 printer blurring printouts (see attachment) but only from tray two.  Have replaced the paper feed roller assembly but that did not solve the problem.  Have tried different toner, fuser and transfer roller.  Any thoughts??HP4200-GHOST.pdf

maybe some toner spilled of near tray2 ... since tray 1 prints normally! ... get a blower and blow off the printer from all around

No toner. Cleaned the machine thoroughly would have noticed it when I replaced the feed roller assembly.

last thing to think about is the printer drum ... otherwise send it to nearest HP support center to check it

What kind of paper are you using in tray 2? Have you tried putting some of the paper from another tray into tray 2?

same paper that is being used in tray one.  Same paper they have been using for a long time.

I figured it out.  A gear somehow came loose from the the paper feed belt assembly.  which was causing it to not turn properly.  I guess tray one doesn't need it as much as tray two since its not making the turn into the machine.  I have attached a picture of where the gear came loose from.

Putting the gear back where it belongs fixed the problem.
