Backup Software for Win7
Which free backup software can automatically backup C:\data into my portable HDD?
Can you not use the Native Backup from Win7?
That seems to work pretty well.
If not, there are a number of sites like -

That feature local tape and cloud backup solutions.

At the risk of looking silly.. You need to have an OS to do a restore.. DriveImageXML, Acronis TrueImage, Ghost, are the exceptions to this rule as you can restore a volume image and not just individual files. Windows Backup, while helpful to backup registry, drivers, etc. you still have to have an OS to do file restores.
Of course, you want to backup critical business documents, etc.
