Backup Software for Win7

Which free backup software can automatically backup C:\data into my portable HDD?

Can you not use the Native Backup from Win7?

That seems to work pretty well.

If not, there are a number of sites like -

At the risk of looking silly..  You need to have an OS to do a restore..  DriveImageXML, Acronis TrueImage, Ghost, are the exceptions to this rule as you can restore a volume image and not just individual files.  Windows Backup, while helpful to backup registry, drivers, etc. you still have to have an OS to do file restores.

Of course, you want to backup critical business documents, etc.

Probably not image, just folders in C: ..

Paragon is the best among free ones out there

Paragon works for me, just started using it - not bad.

Give me a few more mments to try these, to see if i have other qns.
i wonder if you tried syncback?
