Windows Media Player Not Responding Windows 8

I have tried to remove the feature and reboot then re-enable the feature and reboot.  The Media player will play songs individually but, will freeze up if you open the media player from the shortcut.  It starts and appears to open then stops and has a Not Responding if you click on the window.

Any help would be great on this thank you.

The issue was a bad SD card linked to the Media Player.
